ELEVATE 21
WHAT IS ELEVATE 21?
Elevate 21 is a 5Â week church planting project for students who have already completed a summer leadership experience (Elevate, Project Summer or Elevate International). Participants spend the summer in a city with a brand new Resonate church plant. This project is designed to grow a students entrepreneurial skills through hands on experience in launching a new church in a new city. Students lay a foundation for a new church plant by developing relationships, making new contacts and understanding the makeup of the city to assist our full time planters in making disciples.

WHY CHURCH PLANTING CITIES?
The vision of Resonate Church is plant churches on college campuses, specifically on 21 campuses by 2021. (To read more 21 x 21, click here).
When we first started planting churches, we sent the planting team at the beginning of the summer to find housing, discover the city, and meet people that would be the beginnings of a new church. All the while, we were sending students to our other summer projects to develop ministry skills and grow in their leadership capacity.

As students are exploring career options and thinking about their post-grad trajectory, we want to equip them to think like missionaries & church planters, they land in a PNW city with a Resonate site, New York, Austin, or somewhere else in the world. The best training for this mindset happens when students experience what it’s like to start a church by building relationships in a new city.
WHAT WILL MY STUDENT GAIN FROM ELEVATE 21?
Because Elevate 21 is an advanced leadership project, the majority of participants are entering their junior or senior year. At this point in their collegiate career, most students are considering what their lives will look like post-grad. Elevate 21 participants will gain perspective of what it could look like to be part of a church planting team in full time vocational ministry or as a co-vocational minister (work in a chosen field and lead in ministry after work hours).
Elevate 21 students will have opportunities to evaluate their gifts and discover where they can use those gifts to further the Kingdom of God. Students will have access to a weekly missional theology class, exposure to strategic thinking concepts and entrepreneurial skill development as well as have hands on experience to apply the things they are learning as they spend time on campus and in the workplace.
Students will live in community at Elevate 21 as roommates with others of the same gender. Through this experience, students grow in maturity as they will implement their faith into their everyday lives by, navigating conflict, managing money & time, cooking, cleaning, etc. Ultimately, we desire for this experience to serve as a significant stepping stone in the process of becoming an adult for each student.
